ESP NEWS UPDATE

GOOD STUFF!!
As we all do our spring cleaning, the E.S.P. is collecting any STUFF that may be used again. In particular, any school supplies that might be used next year (binders, folders, half-used notebooks, rulers, etc.) should not be thrown away....instead, pass it along to a student next year! But why stop there? We'll accept any (re)usable item, from clothes to appliances to books to electronics....those items will be donated. Look for a marked bin near you!

ESP's TIP OF THE WEEK:

USE BIODEGRADABLE CLEANING PRODUCTS
In the local supermarket we can buy acids, phenols, oil derivatives, corrosive solutions, chlorine, and a whole arsenal of toxic products that are supposedly necessary, according to advertising, to keep our homes clean.
______
Choose environmentally friendly and biodegradable household cleaning products, which do not contain the most dangerous substances. You will be contributing to the preservation of the soil, air, and water. Baking soda, lemon juice, boric acid, and vinegar are good household cleaners, although there are many good environmentally safe products on the market, such as shaklee.
(These tips come from Philippe Bourseiller's book 365 Ways to Save the Earth)

About Our Project

My photo
E.S.P.
RGNS students and faculty are excited about the strides the Environmental Stewardship Program has made. This year, the newly enstated recycling program has been launched. Already, awareness is picking up around campus and virtually every building on campus is now recycling. Loads taken to the recycling center each week are increasing exponentially. The members of the ESP have countless items on the agenda; ways to help the school save money, while being devoted stewards of the ever-in-peril planet. We hope you will enjoy catching up on all we are working on. Get involved. Every added steward strengthens our voice and our purpose.
